While appearing on Bloody Disgusting's podcast, Zach Cregger (Barbarian) revealed that he has completed a "Batman- adjacent" script, and would love the opportunity to develop it for the screen.

"The thing I'd love to do next... I've actually written a movie that takes place in the DC Universe. Which is so not normally my thing; I'm not a superhero guy - I just couldn't stop thinking about this one story that kind of takes place in a Batman-adjacent thing. And so I wrote it, and I'm utterly obsessed with it."

Cregger didn't share any specifics on his story, but during a more recent interview with Discussing Film, he described the script as the "best thing I've ever written," and addressed the likelihood of it being brought to the attention of DC Studios now that James Gunn and Peter Safran are in charge.

"If I got the call, I would drop everything and go make that movie in a heartbeat," he said. "It’s my favorite thing I’ve ever written. I love it, and I’m dying to make it. I have not talked to James Gunn in my whole life. I don’t know him but I would certainly love to meet him and have the conversation. Who knows man?"

Excellent acteur mais il a une tête de Batman CW et ne colle pas au rôle à première vue, pas le gabarit non plus. Il n'est pas petit mais il en a l'air, si ça fait sens

A moins qu'il y ait eu une adoption ou un mariage quelque part, ça me paraitrait quand même fortement surprenant qu'une famille aussi influente comme les Wayne pour la génèse de Gotham, riche depuis des générations, soit Afro Américaine. C'est juste pas logique. Après il a peut-être tout simplement été adopté et ça dépend aussi de l'année dans laquelle se déroulera le film. Si c'est dans le présent alors pourquoi pas une Martha noire, mais les Wayne sont la typique famille blanche suprémaciste capitaliste. Bruce combat ce qu'il représente

Seulement en Elseworld/Stand Alone pour ma part (ou là j'estime qu'on peut se permettre de prendre d'énormes libertés par rapport au Matériel de base...)

Oui il faut savoir si il veut dire Batman ou Bruce Wayne en particulier...

On a déjà eu un Zorro "legacy" qui n'était pas Don Diego de la Vega (film Le Masque de Zorro) donc après tout pourquoi pas un Batman afro-américain qui ne serait pas Bruce Wayne tant que c'est bien justifié et surtout que l'histoire ainsi que le personnage sont intéressants... On serait dans le même cas de figure qu'un 007 qui ne serait pas James Bond mais bon la frontière est fine quoi, faudrait pas tomber dans des lignes de dialogue clichées comme celle de Zoe Kravitz dans The Batman ou de Ironheart dans Wakanda Forever
