"[Marvel Studios] is aware of what's happening to their brand. My understanding, having talked to some people, is that 'Quantumania' really shook them, and I'm sure 'Secret Invasion' shook them further, but 'Quantumania' really shook them because they felt like they had something good. Because they all internally thought, 'Everyone's gonna love this.'"
"And then they put it out and people didn't. And then they were like, 'Oh no, our internal barometer is not attuned to what people want anymore.' With ‘Quantumania,’ they were like, 'We put out a banger.' And then that's not how a lot of people felt."
"This actually was my request for the third one. I said I’d like to have a serious [death], with all these great special effects. There’s got to be some fantastic way where I can shrink to an ant size and explode, whatever it is. I want to use all those effects. But, that was on the last one. Now, I don’t think I’m going to show up."
darkhorizons a écrit:A new report at Forbes has gone into the film’s finances. As the project was shot in the United Kingdom, the production company for the title had to file financial statements that are eventually released for public disclosure.
By doing so, they benefit from the UK government’s tax credits which gives productions a cash reimbursement of up to 25.5% of the money they spend in the country.
According to the outlet, that reimbursement came to $58.282 million (£44.5 million) for ‘Quantumania’. The outlet indicates the film total costs came in at $388.370 million (£301.5 million) prior to the reimbursement which brought net costs to $330.088 million
They also indicate the total revenue generated from the film stands at $330.176 million – resulting in a net profit of $88,236. However, as the piece goes on to explain, the result here is as much a case of clever accounting and working within UK tax laws than anything else so shouldn’t be seen as final numbers.
