Lucasfilm a réussi à faire fuir tous les réals de talent pour avoir besoin d'aller râcler le réal de Dark Phoenix ?

Ce ne serait pas pour réaliser mais écrire et produire. Restera donc à trouver le ou les réal' justement.

Deadline avance que ce serait pour une trilo dans la continuité de la postlogie, donc des épis 10 à 12, mais toutes les autres sources comme THR démentent ce point en avançant une potentielle autre période. Ce qui serait franchement plus logique, étant donné qu'il est déjà prévu un film avec une Rey âgée. À moins bien sûr qu'il prenne en charge New Jedi Order réalisé par Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy, vu que Steven Knight est descendu du navire entre temps, en l'intégrant dans une histoire plus grande ?

THR a l'air de confirmer que Rey ferait bien partie de la trilo de Kinberg, et qu'elle serait aussi envisagée pour d'autres films, étant actuellement pour LucasFilm l'atout essentiel de Star Wars, avec celui de Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy bien évidemment pour commencer :

DEADLINE: I broke a piece last fall about Simon Kinberg making a deal to write and produce a Star Wars trilogy. How’s that going?

KENNEDY: "We’re absolutely rolling fast and furiously. That has gone exceptionally well, and he’s literally going to script as we speak. We’ll see something probably around June. Simon, if you remember, he did some work with us years ago with the animated show, which was a really wonderful collaborative experience. And he then got very, very busy with X-Men and then recently became available again, and he segued into this space beautifully. We’re really excited about where that’s headed."

DEADLINE: There are spinoffs and then there is the core Star Wars story broken into trilogies. Is this a continuation of that?

KENNEDY: "This is the next iteration, the new saga that moves us into the future."

Kathleen Kennedy a propos du développement:

"He’s working right now. He wrote something that we read in August, and it was very good, but not there. We’ve pretty much upended the story, and then spent a great deal of time on the treatment, which he finished literally about four weeks ago. And it’s a very detailed treatment, like 70 pages. And so he is expected to give us something in March."

"I know that Dave and Lynwen [Brennan] are very much on board with what Simon’s doing, and that would be a new trilogy. In the timeline of things, that takes you well into 2030 plus. So that’s really what’s up next."
