“My first audition was a self tape that I made in my house with my wife. I saw this sort of old Hollywood humour in it - like a Fred Astaire or a Donald O’Connor or a Jimmy Stewart humour. I was excited to do that and thought I’d do a good job with it, but I wasn’t sure James had intended it in that way. So, for all I knew that wasn’t what he was looking for.”
@hollywoodauthentic visited #DavidCorenswet at Atlanta’s Trilith Studios in February 2024, as he wore the Superman suit for the first time on day one of filming. Sixteen months later, we joined him at Juilliard - the New York conservatory where he trained and which he still calls ‘home’.
Now, ahead of the global premiere of @warnerbros Superman and a world tour to launch the new @superman - #DavidCorenswet reflects on stepping into the iconic role, collaborating with @jamesgunn and how his time at @juilliardschool continues to shape his roles.
