Barinholtz parle de son role qui n'est toujours pas connu...

Almost all the roles in Suicide Squad are accounted for...except for a precise few. Is Scott Eastwood Deathstroke, Dick Grayson or just a member of Taskforce X? Is Jim Parrack Joker henchman Johnny Frost? Is rapper/actor Common playing Bronze Tiger or Tattoo Man? There's also Alex Meraz and Corina Calderon, who currently have no rumors about what role they'll play in David Ayer's film. Ike Barinholtz also doesn't have any rumors about who he's playing in Suicide Squad but apparently, it's someone not very nice. "I can tell you my character in that movie is someone you would not want at your house for dinner. He’s a very troubled human being. "

Sounds like Barinholtz is not one of the (few) good guys appearing the film. Then again, these are all hardboiled criminals being forced to do heroic things by Amanda Waller (Viola Davis) and the US Government so none of the Squad members are exactly the type of people you'd invite over for dinner.

Weighing in on the seriusness of the first trailer, Barinholtz, who's known for his comedic stint on MADtv, says that while Suicide Squad is a serious film, there will be some humor. "The trailer is very serious, but [director] David Ayer is a psychopath. As as much as he loves the dark and exploring the disturbed side of society, it’s not like you’re telling jokes, but if you can just kind of in the moment try to play things a little honestly and react to these giant, huge superhero things that are happening, funny stuff can kind of happen and there can be laughs from it... Will Smith is a very funny guy, Jai Courtney is actually a very funny guy, Margot Robbie is actually funny, so I think there is going to be some moments in that that actually make people laugh."

En 6 mois de tournage ensemble , Will Smith n'a jamais rencontré Jared Leto il n'a fait face qu'au Joker

"I've never actually met Jared Leto," admitted Smith. "We worked together for 6 months and we've never exchanged a word outside of 'Action!' and 'Cut!' We've never said 'Hello,' we've never said 'Good day.' I've only ever spoken to him as Deadshot and him as the Joker. I literally have not met him yet. So, the first time I see him will be 'Hey, Jared. What's up?' Not a single word exchanged off camera. He was all in on the Joker... I'm looking forward to meeting him."

C'est clair, et si on rajoute les anecdotes des rats et la phrase que l'on voit dans mon dernier post ("i cant' wait for you to see this, they're going to lock away in a box after this movie comes out"), on en salive d'avance...

"I was just thinking that the Joker would probably just say, 'F**k you,' and hang up," Jared Leto responded when Empire Magazine caught up with the actor to talk about his role as The Joker in Suicide Squad for the very first time. The actor is of course very familiar with what goes on in the head of the Clown Prince of Crime, especially as he never broke character during the shoot, something which led to him tormenting his fellow cast members in unique ways. For Jim Parrack (who plays The Joker's henchman, Jonny Frost) that included random calls throughout the day, with orders to spray paint roses black and filling a backpack with nine inch nails. "There was definitely a period of...detachment," Leto explains. "I took a pretty deep dive. But this was a unique opportunity and I couldn't imagine doing it another way. It was fun, playing those psychological games. But at the same time it was very painful, like giving birth out of my prick hole."

Revealing that he listened to 1920s gospel music and read literature on shamans while playing The Joker, Leto offered some interesting insight into this take on the villain when he said, "I always get the sense that The Joker may be much older than people think. It's something different. If you don't break rules, you're not going to strike new ground. I think I'll be cooling down for the rest of my life." Suicide Squad producer Charles Roven also chimed in by revealing that the villain's dress sense has been inspired by Mexican cartels, while he's now, "More social...a very successful and smart businessman besides being a sociopath." Director David Ayer meanwhile had this to say about how Leto's take on the villain will differ to what's come before on the big screen. "The Joker is the third rail of comic book movies. There's a power to that character, and by some freaking miracle, through the incredible things Jared has done and the photography and all the other millions of things that went into it, we've cooked up something transcendent. He's scary."

Roven et Ayer parlent du film...

"We'd just started shooting Batman v Superman, we were figuring out our path through the expanding DC Justice League universe," Roven explained, "Then David Ayer came and pitched his take on Suicide Squad. It had this darkness and edge, while still tonally in the zone of what we're trying to do with these movies. And it's impossible that you could get a big tentpole picture from pitch to start of principal photography and faster than we did."

Additonally, Ayer delivered a rather strong-worded explanation about what makes a property like Suicide Squad different from the standard superhero affair. "You know, all these movies are about defeating the evil alien robot from f*cking Planet X, before it destroys the world with its ticking clock. And who the f*ck cares?" he claimed. "But you do this story about struggle and isolation and people who have been shit on that suddenly get thrown this lifeline... that's not so bad... I like to think of this as the Comic Book Movie 2.0"

Adam Beach parle de Slikpnot.

"My version [of Slipknot] is basically a guy who's just pissed off to be there. He's an angry boy. But ya know, he's like everybody else; he is a hired mercenary, assassin, killer - so you know that paying the right money and he'll get the job done. And as long as I kept that nature about him - that he can, in any minute, hang you with his ropes or stab you in the back - he is as bad as the Joker and Deadshot and Harley Quinn. That's the beauty of it. We all filled the shoes of these villainous characters that are hired killers and now we're asked to go and save the day in some shape or some form... How do you contain that?!

If shit happens, I’m like the escape plan, I'll get everybody out of there. Everybody has their skills, my skill is the ropes. Give me a rope and I can fight with it... They were teaching me a move where if you try to throw a punch, I can use a rope to grab that punch, put the rope around your neck and just drop my weight and it snaps your neck. There's a lot of martial art skills you can use with the rope and it was pretty cool."

Ayer à propos du film, du Joker et de Batfleck.

Then there’s Suicide Squad, which offers arguably the most colorful group of villains ever seen in a movie. And Ayer loved every minute with them. “We all need good guys and everything — yay, good guys — but at the end of the day, they’re kinda boring,” the Fury director says. “They’re always going to do the right thing. When you’re dealing with the baddies, it’s easy to get ahead of the audience and invert expectations.”

Deadshot, Harley, Killer Croc (Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje), Enchantress (Cara Delevingne), Rick Flag (Joel Kinnaman) and Katana (Karen Fukuhara) are part of a team put together by government official Amanda Waller (Viola Davis) to deal with a mysterious adversary in the movie, which also showcases a Joker played by Leto who transcends being bad or even evil, Ayer says. “He’s the king of Planet Joker.”

When you have Batman’s archnemesis, the hero himself can’t be far behind, and one of Ayer’s favorite days was filming Affleck’s part in Suicide Squad. “We made him fight,” the director says with a laugh. “He’s awesome (as Batman). ... You really sense that but for the grace of God he himself would be doing some really foul stuff out in the world.”
