"“I think that, obviously, first things first: We have to make one great movie. But we always have an eye as we’re talking about it too. What are the different places this can go? What are the places that [have] been in the comics? What hasn’t been explored as much, and how can that be incorporated? And what are some of the different avenues that we could take that feel like the kind of less-trodden path that we could go down? But those ideas are always out there, as we have the discussions.”"

De mon point de vue, c'est ce qu'il y a évidemment de mieux à faire.
"I also think just having the time to kind of sit back, and I’ve just been digging into so many of the old comics and the entire Claremont run, and just going through stuff and really trying to think about what can we do well that feels new and feels different, and that hasn’t been done well before? Obviously, there’s such an incredible cinematic tradition of these comics, but what can we do? And how can we put our own spin on what that is?"
"I’m such a huge fan of X-Men. My dad was in town for my daughter’s birthday recently. My mom and dad both were, and I told him the news about X-Men, and he was like, ‘That’s the good one, you know.’ I have such fond memories of me and my dad, Saturday morning, every morning, waking up, I think it was 9:00 or 10:00 a.m. central time, and we’d watch every single episode, read the comics, and I was a huge Gambit fan growing up, so the love is very strong."

"I would say that we are aiming to do something that feels like a fresh start and going for something that feels new. And, really, something that Kevin has pushed for is this idea of, 'What can we do within this world?' It's such a massive world, and I've spent the year just rereading a ton of it, like the entire [Chris] Claremont run and so many different ... the great work that Grant Morrison did."
"There's so many different interesting takes within this world -- and that shouldn't be a clue as to anything, that's just for background and just to live in the world and how deep that world is. Just thinking about, 'What are the corners of it? What are the sides of it that maybe haven't been done so brilliantly in so many of these great movies that we can ... [that] were areas that we can explore where it feels like we're doing something new?'"
