Euh ok...

"It starts about a week after 'The Batman' ends. So Gotham is still somewhat underwater."

"I read the first script of the first episode and it opens up with [Oswald Cobblepott] feet splashing through the water in Falcone’s office...which even just that alone when I read it I was like, 'Ahh, geez.'"

6 à 8 épisodes donc...

Farrell said about the new show : "Penguin? Shooting here in New York. I think if it goes ahead, I read the first episode, which is just so tasty and so unusual as the character was on the page and what Matt Reeves kind of envisioned when he was thinking of this iteration of the bang up of Oz. So yeah, it’ll be, I think six or eight hours. I’m supposed to read episode two and three within the next week.

The only thing I had an idea was that I wasn’t nearly getting to explore the character as much as I wanted to. Because there was all this extraordinary work done by [makeup artists] Mike Marino and Mike Fontaine and his team, and I just thought it was the tip of the iceberg, pardon the pun, that we were getting to do the six or seven scenes that we did in the film. I was grateful for them, but I wanted more.”

“Honest to god, any thought I had about an extended series was to do with [makeup artist] Mike Marino’s work. I just knew there was so much to do with it – age it up, age it down. He’s just such a genius, Mike, so it was his work that was the inspiration, really.

In an interview to Collider, Matt Reeves reaffirmed that the planned HBO Max Penguin series will directly tie into the sequel of The Batman.

There's actually a whole little fabric of things we're wanting to do, the way we're doing with The Penguin and how that comes back into how that will lead into the sequel.”
