J'ai pu voir tous les films de la catégorie principale à l'exception de Minari et The Father, et autant j'ai trouvé que Nomadland était beau et touchant, autant et pour faire simple.. ce n'est pas non plus le chef d'œuvre que l'on peut imaginer.
Après, il est certain que, comme détaillé par Ciceron, ce n'est pas parce qu'un réalisateur est reconnu qu'il va forcément réussir à créer un très grand film super-héroïque, le mode de production étant assez différent d'un film beaucoup moins important en terme de budget et donc de gestion. Nomadland a été réalisé en grande partie en caméra à l'épaule, avec un casting très réduit, Eternals avec son énorme casting et tous ses effets spéciaux numériques est une tout autre paire de manche. Il n'empêche que ses talents de réalisatrice combinés avec la force du studio Marvel lui auront certainement permis d'accomplir une œuvre à la mesure du sujet, je croise les doigts en tout cas.
À part ça, bravo au français Florian Zeller pour le scénario adapté de The Father que je verrai bientôt, et à Anthony Hopkins au passage, à Frances McDormand qui habite l'image dans Nomadland, content pour Sound of Metal avec le meilleur montage qu'il mérite, meilleurs effets visuels pour Tenet.. bon c'était plutôt évident, et Soul meilleur film d'animation.. pas trop compliqué.. même si j'avais "presque" préféré Onward.

Même si je pense qu'ils sont définitivement grillés on a aussi Joss Whedon et Bryan Singer.
Sinon en grosses références assez spécialisées dans le genre il y a aussi Matthew Vaughn et Guillermo del Toro ! Et en cas un peu plus particulier il y a M. Night Shaman
