Exactement ce que je me suis dit ^^
Peut-être que les costumes ont des inspirations similaires à BP, mais le film a été un tel marqueur pour la communauté afroaméricaine que l'influence directe est très probable aussi. Couplé aux effets violets de la magie très réminiscents du vibranium dans les films du MCU, et la comparaison se fait vite.
Le roman est sorti début 2018 donc une influence du film de ce côté là me semble improbable en tous cas.
Mais c'est pas surprenant non plus, tant on pourrait citer de films de fantasy des années 2000-2010 qui se sont calqués (ou ont au moins essayé) sur les visuels du SdA et des Harry Potter (voire des deux en même temps)

La bande-annonce en montre sans doute un peu trop, mais en tous cas elle vend un univers de fantasy assez foisonnant et un casting très impressionnant. Je suis curieux !

Visiblement l'autrice du roman Tomi Adeyemi n'est pas en phase avec la vision du film sur son univers

“What I am about to share is not a secret to the people involved. It is a reality that I’ve had to live with for a year and a half. Everyone involved at the highest level has been made aware of this reality, and they haven’t done anything to make it better. If anything, they’ve only antagonized me. I accept that, but I also accept that if I don’t say something, it’s just going to get worse.”

“I’m not going to speak about everything I suffered through and endured to make the adaptation a reality. I’m going to speak about what happened after I left that set, hyperventilating and sobbing. There were many witnesses, so it’s not really a secret.”

“I came back to America and suffered such severe traumatic pain and so many panic attacks. I knew it was so bad that I would never, ever be able to watch this film, and I made peace with that.”

She added that as the film’s marketing campaign continues, she feels compelled to speak because the alleged behind-the-scenes antagonism has not stopped. She concluded by saying:

“I understand this is a global project. But I also understand that being silent about it is making the pain a lot worse. Please understand, I never want to hear about this project again. I am trying to move on.”

How did Tomi Adeyemi go from being one of the key creative voices behind the adaptation of her own novel to publicly distancing herself from the project and describing it as the most painful experience of her career?

Sujet vraiment prometteur ! Très curieux de voir ce que cela donnera.

Et d'après Jeff Sneider, ce film des Daniels avec Matt Damon qui le décrit comme "un mélange entre The Breakfast Club, Inception, un film d'animation japonais et un épisode inédit du John Oliver Show" serait inspiré des Power Rangers. ^^

"From what I hear, it’s basically a Power Rangers movie… without the name. It follows a young cast in color-coded costumes who team up to fight kaiju with the help of a superhero-esque character played by Damon, who has a Jarvis-like AI assistant played (not just voiced) by [Sandra] Oh. The wholly original movie has no official connection to Power Rangers, but I’m told it’s a pretty clear influence and that comparisons will definitely be made."

Ça me branche bien moi. Ça a l’air simple, ça n’a pas l’air de se prendre la tête. Et c’est ce qu’il faut pour adapter ce genre de film.

Ah oui quand même ^^, du coup ça va être sur un ton humoristique comme c'est parti là, avec un enrobage de dramaturgie totalement façon Everything Everywhere All at Once.

Adam Wingard : "My career's kind of bouncing around, so different things have taken precedence. But [ThunderCats is] still kicking around. I think it's just a matter of finding time to really re-concentrate and re-engage with it. We did a new draft at the beginning of this year. It wasn't too long ago, and then things got put on hold for this movie [Onslaught]. So I don't really have any exciting updates. But it's not dead. It lives. It's just not the number one [thing] I'm working on right now."
